Original Goebel Hummel figurine # Hum 57 “Chick Girl” by Goebel. Double crown mark largest version. Height 12 cm (about 4 3/4 inches). TMK 1 “Crown Mark”. The figurine was made between 1936 and 1949. It has under the base an incised, as well as a stamped, TMK 1 “Crown Mark”. Is a so-called “double crown” figurine. Since there are no other stamps, it was most likely. This figurine was originally modeled by master sculptor Reinhold Unger in 1936. This is the largest version with 3 chicks in basket. Also incised “57” only. The was later changed to “57/I”. Being an early piece, the bottom of the base is doughnut. The figurine is well kept and in excellent condition with no damage, chips, repairs, crazing or the likes. Rare Hummel Goebel PFE Sample Unreleased Tall Version # 659 TMK 7. Possible Future Edition Taller Version Angel with wings standing tall and holding a much more detailed lantern than the smaller released version. Overall this figure is of much higher quality and detail than the released as it is a mother sample, what was originally presented to the convent for approval. Only a very few samples are created and presented to the convent for approval, those that are not approved exist in only samples, typically in numbers you can count on one hand. This piece is not only taller, it stands on a square base compared to the released round base. Stands at 5.75″ tall compared to the released piece which stands at 4.5″. This is in excellent condition and comes as shown with no damage or repairs. As always, more than willing to accept reasonable offers too, thank you for viewing.

There have been some significant variations in Spring Cheer over the years of its production. It was initially released wearing a yellow dress and no flowers in the right hand. During the period of the Stylized Bee TMK-3, the figure was produced with a green dress and flowers in the right hand having been restyled in 1965 by master sculptor Gerhard Skrobek who added the flowers to the right hand. This is the way the more recent versions are found. Some of the old versions without flowers were left over and were painted with a green dress to match the newer models. This makes the version with the green dress and no flowers in the right hand very rare. 5 1/4″ Height, 2 3/4″ Width.

This latest news version is rare. I have searched the internet and have not have been able to find this version. The name is hand painted and some of it is coming off. There is a small chip on his shoe as well as near the newspaper. This version has the square “waffle” version and he is looking over the newspaper. Please see pictures and ask questions.

Original Goebel Hummel figurine # Hum 153/0 “Auf Wiedersehen” by Goebel. Rare early version Boy With Hat. Height about 14 cm (5 1/2 inches). TMK 2 “Full Bee”. The figurine was made between 1950 and 1956. It has under the base a stamped, as well as an incised TMK 2 “Full Bee” plus “Germany” stamped. This figurine was originally modeled by master sculptor Arthur Moeller in 1943. In the early 1950s this small size was introduced.
