Offered for sale is an EXTREMELY RARE, highly sought after, and hard to find EARLY version of the DUET #130 figurine with the LIP BASE. It depicts two boys singing from a sheet of music. What is Special about it, and why is it so rare? The only TMK1 double crown thin lip base Duet for sale on the entire internet as of this posting. LIP BASE, which is the thin platform on top of the base and which is extremely rare to find. Only found in some very early TMK1 models. Finding a double crown in itself is rare and hard to find, and even more rare and considerably more valuable if it has the lip base. Hummel signature on the base which authenticates it. Designed by Arthur Moeller and released to the public in 1939, retired in 1950. Only a small number of the early TMK1 DUET Hummels were made with the lip base characteristic. All others have the usual rectangle base with no lip. This 86 year old Hummel is in MINT condition and has no cracks, chips, crazing or repairs. This stunning Hummel stands 5 inches tall, and is highly sought after by serious collectors. Don’t let this one slip away for only.
