GERMAN STORMY WEATHER HUMMEL #71/I. This listing features one of Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel’s celebrated drawings of children, come to life in the hands of talented Goebel porcelain artists. This is a #71 “Stormy Weather” TMK-6, which is retired. It is imprinted underneath on the split base,’71/I, 38′ (the 8 is unclear) and has a’Goebel W. Germany’ missing bee mark. The mark dates it between 1979 and 1990, with the artist signature naming the exact year, 1990. The figurine measures approximately 6 1/4 inches tall by 4 1/2 inches wide by 3 inches deep and is in beautiful, like new condition. The Hummel signature is on the back of the base with an English and German clear title label still attached below it. The details and brush strokes are still sharp and the colors are still vivid, particularly the air brushed deep blue umbrella. My photos may read a little on the yellow side, depending on your monitor, but they are true. The box is dated’1984′, printed in W. Germany, so I’m guessing this is a marriage (differently dated figurine and box). It is in very good condition, printed in German before English, then French.
