Original Goebel Hummel figurine # Hum 57 “Chick Girl” by Goebel. Double crown mark largest version. Height 12 cm (about 4 3/4 inches). TMK 1 “Crown Mark”. The figurine was made between 1936 and 1949. It has under the base an incised, as well as a stamped, TMK 1 “Crown Mark”. Is a so-called “double crown” figurine. Since there are no other stamps, it was most likely. This figurine was originally modeled by master sculptor Reinhold Unger in 1936. This is the largest version with 3 chicks in basket. Also incised “57” only. The was later changed to “57/I”. Being an early piece, the bottom of the base is doughnut. The figurine is well kept and in excellent condition with no damage, chips, repairs, crazing or the likes. Hummel figurine Hum 65 Farewell TMK 1 Crown Mark painter Robert Lindner

Original Goebel Hummel figurine # Hum 65 “Farewell” by Goebel. Crown mark old style painted by Robert Lindner. Height about 13 cm (about 5 1/4 inches). TMK 1 “Crown Mark”. The figurine was made between 1937 and 1949. It has under the base an incised TMK 1 “Crown Mark”. Since there are no other stamps, it was most likely made before 1945. This figurine was originally modeled by master sculptor Arthur Moeller in 1937. Incised “65” only, without a size designator, making it a very early piece. This figurine was painted by Goebel’s master sample painter Robert Lindner (one of three at that time). During final inspection, there was some imperfection found. I can not find anything wrong with this figurine. The figurine is well kept and in excellent condition with no damage, chips, crazing, repairs or the likes. Series/Mold: 214 Series (Large Scale). Artistic Credit: Based on the original designs of Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel. Set Composition (11 Pieces Total). Each figure features the incised facsimile signature of M. Hummel and appropriate mold/factory control numbers. Holy Family: Virgin Mary (214/A), Joseph (214/B), Baby Jesus in Manger (214/A – Infant). The Three Kings: King Gaspar (Standing, 214/L), King Melchior (Kneeling, 214/M), King Balthazar (Moorish, 214/N). Shepherds & Attendants: Standing Shepherd with Sheep (214/F), Little Tooter/Flute Player (214/H), Kneeling Shepherd (214/G). Animals: The Ox (214/J) and The Donkey (214/K). Surface: Light, age-appropriate glaze crazing is present on most figures, consistent with TMK-4 era porcelain. The Ox (214/J): Contains a small glaze flake and a minor nick on the surface. It has under the base an incised TMK 1 “Crown Mark”. Since there are no other stamps, it was most likely made before 1945. This figurine was originally modeled by master sculptor Arthur Moeller in 1936. It was made in several sizes. The figurine has light crazing. In the last picture I added to compare the size the small version 50/3/0 (about 4 inches). The figurine is well kept and in excellent condition with no damage, chips, repairs or the likes. The figurine was made between 1938 and 1949. It has under the base a stamped, as well as an incised TMK 1 “Crown Mark”. Since there are no other stamps, it was most likely made before 1945. The figurine has under the base the initials of Goebel’s master sample painter (one of three at that time) Robert Lindner. This figurine was originally modeled by master sculptor Reinhold Unger in 1938. Being an early piece, both pigtails are down. There are a few tiny craze lines, mainly on top of the base. Goebel Hummel Angelic Song #144 Figurine U. S Zone Tmk-1 Incised Crown Mark

EXTREMELY EARLY RARE Hummel “Angelic Song” figurine TMK 1 WITH INCISED CROWN MARK ALSO HAS U. This figurine measures 4″ tall, 3″ wide, and 2 deep. At one point in its 70-80-some years, THE ANGELS WINGS WHERE BROKEN OFF, I DO NOT HAVE THEM. Please look at all photos closely. THE ANGELS WINGS ARE BROKEN. The Crown Mark (TMK-1 or CM), sometimes referred to as the “Crown-WG”, was used by Goebel on all of its products in 1935, when M. Hummel figurines were first made commercially available. Those subtle differences are of no important significance to the collector. The letters WG below the crown in the mark are the initials of William Goebel, one of the founders of the company. The crown signifies his loyalty to the imperial family of Germany at the time of the mark’s design, around 1900. The mark is sometimes found in an incised circle.
