Original Goebel Hummel figurine # Hum 154. Old style with grey coat and grey striped trousers large size incised 154. Incised TMK 1 “Crown” and stamped TMK 2 “Full Bee” stamped GERMANY. Height about 17 cm (about 6 3/4 inches). TMK 1 “Crown Mark” incised and TMK 2 “Full Bee” stamped. The figurine itself was made in the late 1940s with the incised TMK 1 “crown” in the mold. This figurine was originally modeled by master sculptor Arthur Moeller in 1943. Old style with grey coat and grey striped trousers. In the early 1950s the colors were changed to blue coat and tan striped trousers. Illegible name, similar to “Rhein Wine”, on the bottle. The figurine has light crazing. The figurine is well kept and in excellent condition with no damage, chips, repairs or the likes. Please feel free to contact me anytime for further information. Original Goebel Hummel figurine # Hum 10/1 “Flower Madonna” by Goebel. Crown MArk Rare paint variant open halo. Height about 21 cm (about 8 1/4 inches). TMK 1 “Crown Mark”. The figurine was made between 1935 and 1949. It has under the base an incised TMK 1 “Crown Mark”. Since there are no other stamps, the figurine was most likely made before 1945. This figurine was originally modeled by master sculptor Reinhold Unger in 1935. This is the original old style with the open halo. It is painted in a rare paint variant. There are a few tiny craze lines, only on the underside of the base. The figurine is well kept and in excellent condition with no damage, chips, repairs or the likes. M I Hummel Goebel Timid Little Sister Figurine. Measures 6.75″ high x 4.5″ wide. Young boy with a “Timid Little Sister”. So cute the way she holds on to his suspender as she looks down at the frog. Marked with the stamped crown mark. It is initialed and signed by the artist who hand painted it. In great preowned condition, no damage, chips or cracks. This early Hummel #16’Little Hiker’ figurine is beautifully painted and in perfect condition for its age! The’M I Hummel’ signature is impressed in the base. The Stamped Crown mark (TMK-1) shows it was made in Germany by Goebel between 1935 and 1949. The incised product number 16 is not very clear; see pix. This Hummel (5.5 inches) has been carefully kept and is in excellent condition with no repairs, chips, cracks, or crazing. ABOUT HUMMELS. Hummels are the result of a partnership between Sister Maria Innocentina Hummel, Franz Goebel and The Convent of the Siessen in the 1930’s. The sketch art of Sister Maria Innocentia began to appear on in the 1930s in Germany and Switzerland, mostly pastoral drawings of children. Around 1934 porcelain maker Franz Goebel saw the drawings and thought they could be turned into porcelain figurines. The agreement with Goebel was that the sister would have final approval over every figurine and that it would be incised with her signature. To this day, each Hummel must be approved by the Convent of Siessen. These figures became extremely popular in the U. Especially with German immigrants on the East Coast. The popularity of the Hummel continued to grow around the end of World War II when many American soldiers overseas saw the Hummel as a great gift to send home to their mothers and sweethearts.

From 1950 to 1955 the trademarks changed to designs incorporating a bee. These backstamps are TMK-2. These stamps are sometimes referred to as the Full Bee Mark. Table lamps are one of unique items that Hummel made with their rosy cheeked figurines. There was a limited selection of these figurines made compared to other types of Hummel figurines. Just Resting table lamp was sculpted by master sculptor Reinhold Unger. This table lamp was produced for a short time in the 1950’s. Please contact me before paying.
