M I Hummel Goebel Timid Little Sister Figurine. Measures 6.75″ high x 4.5″ wide. Young boy with a “Timid Little Sister”. So cute the way she holds on to his suspender as she looks down at the frog. Marked with the stamped crown mark. It is initialed and signed by the artist who hand painted it. In great preowned condition, no damage, chips or cracks. Comes in original box with inner packaging for safe keeping if stored. Original box does have wear and tape residue. Please view all photos carefully for a complete description.

Original Goebel Hummel figurine # Hum 11. Double crown mark Incised 11. Hight 12 cm (about 4 3/4 inches). TMK 1 “Crown Mark”. The figurine was made between 1935 and 1949. It has under the base a stamped, as well as an incised TMK 1 “Crown Mark”, is a so-called “double crown” figurine. This figurine was originally modeled by master sculptor Arthur Moeller in 1935. Only, without a size designator, making it a very early piece from the mid- to end 1930s. Umbrella handle light color. Hummel signature on top of base rather than on the side. The figurine is well kept and in excellent condition with no damage, chips, repairs, crazing or the likes. Please feel free to contact me anytime for further information. This early Hummel #16’Little Hiker’ figurine is beautifully painted and in perfect condition for its age! The’M I Hummel’ signature is impressed in the base. The Stamped Crown mark (TMK-1) shows it was made in Germany by Goebel between 1935 and 1949. The incised product number 16 is not very clear; see pix. This Hummel (5.5 inches) has been carefully kept and is in excellent condition with no repairs, chips, cracks, or crazing. ABOUT HUMMELS. Hummels are the result of a partnership between Sister Maria Innocentina Hummel, Franz Goebel and The Convent of the Siessen in the 1930’s. The sketch art of Sister Maria Innocentia began to appear on in the 1930s in Germany and Switzerland, mostly pastoral drawings of children. Around 1934 porcelain maker Franz Goebel saw the drawings and thought they could be turned into porcelain figurines. The agreement with Goebel was that the sister would have final approval over every figurine and that it would be incised with her signature. To this day, each Hummel must be approved by the Convent of Siessen. These figures became extremely popular in the U. Especially with German immigrants on the East Coast. The popularity of the Hummel continued to grow around the end of World War II when many American soldiers overseas saw the Hummel as a great gift to send home to their mothers and sweethearts.

From 1950 to 1955 the trademarks changed to designs incorporating a bee. These backstamps are TMK-2. These stamps are sometimes referred to as the Full Bee Mark. Table lamps are one of unique items that Hummel made with their rosy cheeked figurines. There was a limited selection of these figurines made compared to other types of Hummel figurines. Just Resting table lamp was sculpted by master sculptor Reinhold Unger. This table lamp was produced for a short time in the 1950’s. Please contact me before paying. Since there are no other stamps, it was most likely made before 1945. This figurine was originally modeled by master sculptor Reinhold Unger in 1935. There are a few craze lines on top of the base only. The figurine is well kept and in excellent condition with no damage, chips, repairs or the likes.
