This is a rare set of vintage Goebel Hummel figurines from Germany in the 1900s. The set includes 9 total figurines featuring boys and girls in different poses. Made from porcelain with a matte finish. These decorative collectibles are perfect for all occasions, and would be a great addition to any collection. They are unboxed and in excellent condition except for one figurine which has been cracked and glued back together. All other figurines are in excellent condition, ready to be displayed. The brand is known for their high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail, making this set a must-have for serious collectors. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to own a piece of German history. There is wax residue on the bottom side of the figurines which was used to keep the figurines in place while on display, comes off easily.
The name of this figurine is Wash Day. Older ones are hard to find. This one is in very good condition. It has beautiful colors and you can see the action of the girl as she waves out the wash pieces. This shows the hallmark of the excellent Hummel craftsmanship. It ids 5 3/4 inches tall. No cracks, no chips, no repairs. This figurine is one that we acquired during my parents’ time stationed overseas in Germany. Please message me with any questions. Check our other listings as I have many I will be putting up in the next few weeks. Message me if that interests you. Happy holidays & thank you for considering our items!
This latest news version is rare. I have searched the internet and have not have been able to find this version. The name is hand painted and some of it is coming off. There is a small chip on his shoe as well as near the newspaper. This version has the square “waffle” version and he is looking over the newspaper. Please see pictures and ask questions.
It’s a perfect addition to any room and would make a great gift for collectors who appreciate original and authentic pieces from the 1960s and early 1970s.
