This closed edition Hummel,’Pleasant Journey’ #406, was produced only in 1987 as the second piece in the Goebel/Hummel Century Collection. This charming work features two young girls pulling a wooden cart with a young boy enjoying the ride. The detail in the sculpting of the figures and the painting is exceptional. This piece is stamped with the authentic Hummel Century Collection stamp as well as the TMK-6 stamp. A unique addition to this figurine is a rare hand-signed inscription by Goebel Master painter Ottilie Jakob, that was added at a special signing event in 1987. The personal dedication reads “To Carolyn and Bob, ” Ottilie Jakob 3-31-87. This piece, which has been exhibited as part of our family collection, will make a wonderful addition to yours. No chips, cracks, scratches, or repairs. Underside of base-only- has faint crazing. Previously displayed as part of our family collection.

Hummel Goebel’s “Rock-A-Bye” figurine (#574) is a limited edition piece produced only in 1994 (TMK-7) as the 9th piece for the Goebel M. This complex, detailed figurine features 5 young children surrounding the crib of their newest sibling. This piece celebrates the family and love between siblings. The detail in their expressions, poses, and clothing- supplemented by the oldest girl’s large jester doll, keeps the viewer’s eye moving around the piece. This collector’s piece is in excellent condition with no crazing or other imperfections. No chips, cracks, scratches, or repairs. Previously displayed in a curio cabinet as part of our family collection. Original Box (with padding).
