Hummel figurine circa 1970s made in West Germany of the Virgin Mary praying adorned with red stars on the halo and produced by Goebel with an artisan’s signature under the overglaze. No crazing on the glaze but the is a small chip on the right hand side of the statue’s white base. Minimal rust stains left on the underside of the ceramic as I have found this inside a broken down camper in the backyard woods of my neighbor, fully covered in a layer of dirt which I carefully cleaned to reveal the minimally colored highlight glazing on the robes, her dainty yet serene glaze painted facial features. I had permission from the owners of the property to search and retrieve items to sell here along with several antique items they commissioned me to sell for them. To the best of my knowledge and research that I’ve done in appraising this Hummel piece, the pricing is on the fair side and taking into account the comparibles, the condition, rarity, and assumed demand. I hope that whomever end up with piece of artwork find happiness and be blessed in this statue’s second chance to be seen and admired.
