The product is a vintage 1951 Goebel/Hummel 11 piece porcelain Nativity set from West Germany. Hand painted with a matte finish, the set features figurines of characters such as Baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph, the Three Kings, 2 shepherds, a cow, and 2 sheep. The set is signed by both Goebel and Hummel, and each figurine is made of porcelain, making it a collectible item that captures the essence of Christmas and religious celebrations from the mid 20th century. This large Nativity set is a charming representation of the Holy Family and the Nativity scene. These are from an estate. They came in 3 labeled boxes that were used for storage. Makes a great gift!
Merry Wondered is traveling with his umbrella and suitcase. He is a large Hummel figurine, 10.5 tall. The bottom is marked 7/II, Goebel W. A sticker is on the back of the base. He has been displayed for many years and is in excellent condition. There is light crazing on the bottom of the figurine.
Pieces have crazing from age and there has been a repair to the bow on the girl (see picture). See pictures for details and measurements. Most of the items I sell are used and may show some signs of wear. I do my best to point out, photograph and describe any major flaws. Ome colors may vary due lighting and differences in computer screens, smart phones and the human eye, but I try to be as accurate as possible. All items are packaged and put away right after I take the photos.
