1938 MERRY WANDERER TMK1 Marked April 38 Hum #7/0-6.25 Tall, Goebel Hummel RARE

Offered for sale is a RARE TMK1 Merry Wanderer HUM # 7/0. With bottom eyelashes, an incised crown mark. And dated April 1938–as per the markings on the underside. This is a large piece standing 6.25 Tall, not to be confused with HUM #11 which vary in height between approx. 4.25″ & 4.75″. Was molded by master sculptor Arthur Möeller in 1935. It depicts a happy-go-lucky boy with a travel bag in his left hand, and an umbrella on his right shoulder, setting out to make his mark in the world; which he most certainly did. He is one of the most beloved Hummels of all time. Condition: Excellent near mint condition, vibrant colors and very clean with some crazing on the top of base. Umbrella tip was repaired, but hard to notice–unless you know it’s there–as it was repaired with museum quality glue and that does not show up under UV black light. Rare Hummel Merry Wanderer Figurine 7/1 TMK 1 Double Crown Mark 7 3/4 Read

There are a few chips and two areas that have been repaired with glue. There are also a few spots that appear to be glue marks. Few Scratches and Signs of wear. Please look at the pictures carefully. However, these problems are not very noticeable when viewed from the front. Original Goebel Hummel figurine # Hum 7/I “Merry Wanderer” by Goebel. Crown Mark Rare Double base. Height about about 7 3/4 inches. TMK 1 “Crown Mark”. The figurine was made between 1935 and 1949. It has under the base an incised TMK 1 “Crown Mark”. Since there are no other stamps, it was most likely. This figurine was originally modeled by master sculptor Arthur Moeller in 1935. This is one of the older moels with the rare “double base” or “stair step” base.
