ALL Hummel listings have been carefully inspected and this listing will describe that item listed to the best of my ability. This Hummel comes from a smoke-free environment and is one of several that are for sale in my store. Hummel’s are made by Goebel, a company founded in Germany that started in the 1800s making fine porcelain figurines and decorative plates. All Hummle’s ARE made by Goebel, BUT NOT ALL “Goebel” figurines found in existence; however, ARE a HUMMEL, although I have found many people list items that say “Goebel” on them as a Hummel. This is in error. Another Misnomer is that the signature on Hummel figurines is “M” (em) “I” (eye), NOT “J” (jay). Please note that it is a facsimile of her actual signature and her “I” appears as a “J” This item IS an Authentic Hummel!!!! As quoted from Wikipedia: Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel (MI Hummel 21 May 1909 – 6 November 1946) was a famous German Franciscan sister and artist. She is noted for her paintings which were the basis for Hummel figurines. Born in Massing in Bavaria, Germany, as Berta Hummel, was a devout Catholic and instead of the standard student housing, she chose to live in a Catholic residence run by religious sisters. Though her days were busy teaching, Hummel spent her spare time painting pictures of children. Franz Goebel, the owner of a porcelain company, was looking for a new line of artwork, and happened to see some of the postcars based on MI Hummel’s drawings in a shop in Munich. Hummel agreed, mostly for its saving the employment of many workers, and the convent granted him sole rights to make figurines based on her art. Goebel Hummel Figurine Auf Wiedersehen withMilestones Hummelscape Clock

This is a lovely Hummel two-piece limited edition final issue set from the Hummelscapes Collection that was created for the millennium. Girl, and, boy figurine waving goodbye to the 20th century. The figurine gets inserted to the Hummelscape. This piece was displayed in my china closet, and, when I moved, and, opened the box, there were a couple of chips underneath the trees. It is not noticeable when displayed. Other than that both items are clean, and, mint. I never used the clock since it was for display purposes only. That is mint, and, works. Please see all the pictures, and, video. This does not come with papers, or, box. Just the tag as shown. I state as much information as possible, and, as accurately as possible, so there are no questions after end of listing. I get on computer 1-2 times a day and answer all questions sent to me. I have inventory stored in a climate controlled storage unit. It’s possible there are NONE of the above-referenced issues, but, I want to be upfront about any potential problems. This is for a Vintage Goebel, M. Hummel XX, 11.5,’Chapel Time Clock’, # 442, TMK 6, L. This 11.5 Goebel Hummel clock is the 1st clock that Hummel put into production in 1986. It was limited to one year and would never be made again in the 20th Century. It is marked with the artist mark and date along with a XX indicating 20th Century. Hummel signature with the inscription ” The Love Lives On ” There were three versions made. This the Belfry Windows Open, and the Windows and Gable painted. The clock is in excellent condition and works fine and takes a C Battery. It will also come with its original box. This is a rare and beautiful piece and a must for that Hummel Collector.
