She is called “Book Worm” and was made in Germany between 1946 and 1948 and is marked Made in U. The number 8 embossed into the underside. She is 4 1/4″ tall and 3 3/4″ wide, her weight is 6.8 oz. I do not have a box. The marks on the underside seem to have been applied over the glaze and have rubbed off, partially, due to wear or cleaning over the years. I see no chips or cracks.
