You will fall in love with these adorable Goebel Hummel figurines. My great aunt collected these figurines and needs a good home for them. These precious figurines are made out of porcelain, are in AMAZING detail and range in various sizes. Hummels were first introduced when sketches drawn by Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel began to appear in the 1930s in Germany and Switzerland of drawings of children, which were put on post cards. These caught the eye of Franz Goebel, which acquired the rights to turn Hummels drawings into figurines. The first line was produced in 1935. They are still in production today. This Hummel figurine is called. Prayer Before Battle Ambassadors of Freedom. Numbered 083 of 3,000 (Final Edition). This figurine was designed in 1935 by Master sculptor Arthur Moeller for the 4 4-1/2 pieces. There has been several variations of the figurine produced. This figurine also includes a wooden base, flag, plaque, and certificate along with the original box. This figurine is approximately 8 in height and is a limited edition #083 / 3,000. This figurine will never be reproduced again! You are getting exactly what you see in the pictures. There are NO chips, cracks, marks or wear on this piece, it is in EXCELLENT condition!
