Original Goebel Hummel figurine # Hum 57 “Chick Girl” by Goebel. Double crown mark largest version. Height 12 cm (about 4 3/4 inches). TMK 1 “Crown Mark”. The figurine was made between 1936 and 1949. It has under the base an incised, as well as a stamped, TMK 1 “Crown Mark”. Is a so-called “double crown” figurine. Since there are no other stamps, it was most likely. This figurine was originally modeled by master sculptor Reinhold Unger in 1936. This is the largest version with 3 chicks in basket. Also incised “57” only. The was later changed to “57/I”. Being an early piece, the bottom of the base is doughnut. The figurine is well kept and in excellent condition with no damage, chips, repairs, crazing or the likes. Please feel free to contact me anytime for further information.
