
Up for sale is an authentic vintage M. Hummel “School Boys” (Difficult Problem) porcelain figurine, model #170/I. This is the rarer, larger-scale size variant standing at approximately 7.5 inches tall. The base features the incised model number 170/I and the stamped blue TMK-4 (Three Line Mark), dating its production between 1964 and 1972 by Goebel in West Germany. The authentic incised M. Hummel signature is visible on the base rim. Condition: Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Features standard, light age-appropriate crazing in the clear glaze, primarily on the underside of the base. The paint and molded details on the chalkboard and boys’ clothing are remarkably crisp and vibrant. Please see photos for exact condition and ask for more if needed.
