Original Goebel Hummel “MEL” figurine # Mel 6. “Box with child in bed on top” by Goebel. The “Mel” (the last part of “Hummel”) figurines do not have the usual M. Hummel signature on them. These items have been designed from original drawings by Sister M. Hummel, but were for some reasons not approved by the Siessen Convent. This “MEL” figurine was modeled in 1945 by master sculptor Arthur Moeller. Hummel “Mel” figurine # Mel 6. “Box with child in bed on top”. Height about 10.5 cm (about 4 1/4 inches). Size about 12 cm x 8 cm (about 4 3/4 x 3 1/4 inches). There is an incised “Crown Mark” under the base. The figurine was in the mid-1950s remodeled by Gerhard Skrobek. The figurine is well kept and in excellent condition with no damage, chips, crazing, repairs or the likes. Please feel free to contact me anytime for further information.
