Merry Wondered is traveling with his umbrella and suitcase. He is a large Hummel figurine, 10.5 tall. The bottom is marked 7/II, Goebel W. A sticker is on the back of the base. He has been displayed for many years and is in excellent condition. There is light crazing on the bottom of the figurine.

Offered for sale is a RARE TMK1 Merry Wanderer HUM # 7/0. With bottom eyelashes, an incised crown mark. And dated April 1938–as per the markings on the underside. This is a large piece standing 6.25 Tall, not to be confused with HUM #11 which vary in height between approx. 4.25″ & 4.75″. Was molded by master sculptor Arthur Möeller in 1935. It depicts a happy-go-lucky boy with a travel bag in his left hand, and an umbrella on his right shoulder, setting out to make his mark in the world; which he most certainly did. He is one of the most beloved Hummels of all time. Condition: Excellent near mint condition, vibrant colors and very clean with some crazing on the top of base. Umbrella tip was repaired, but hard to notice–unless you know it’s there–as it was repaired with museum quality glue and that does not show up under UV black light. This is a rare, hard to find piece of German Hummel Art, signed. This is the first reproductions of the original made by Marie Innotentia Hummel. No visual fisures, lines or breaks. I only found very light crackeling and minor points without porcelain (see images). The original drawing was created by Maria Innocentia Hummel and sculpted by Reinhold Unger in 1942.
