Germany Goebel Hummel Figurines from a collection of 19 Hummel Figurines collected as gifts since the 1960’s. While he is in overall great condition, and his face is very expressive, he has a blemish on his left knee and little specks on his right knee. There is a small chip the bottom of one of his hair locks which is not visible in its sitting position. There is slight crazing on the bottom of the base. Please see all photos. Her face is quite expressive too and is in impressive condition. The entire collection was kept in a large glassed curio cabinet, in a non smoking home, and only handled from time to time for a light feather dusting. Offered for sale is a MINT & ULTRA RARE – 7 Button MERRY WANDERER # 11 2/0 – TMK3 – 4.5 Tall by Goebel Hummel. This figurine depicts a happy-go-lucky boy with a travel bag in his left hand and an umbrella on his right shoulder setting out to make his mark in the world. It is ultra rare because of the 7 buttons instead of usual 5. A very popular figurine, the Merry Wanderer can be found in more sizes than any other M. One item to watch for on this size is a rarer version of this item with either six or seven buttons on the shirt in place of the typical five. The buttons appear to be painted on and the painter evidently lost count when applying them uniformly on the shirt. Molded by master sculptor Arthur Möeller in 1935, the predominant feature here is the 7 buttons of this very popular and sought after Merry Wanderer. Almost identical to the HUM 7 – Merry Wanderer HUM 11 is the smaller version of the Merry Wanderer Hum 7. This variation of the figurine is 4 ½ tall and has seven painted vest buttons instead of the usual five buttons. These are found on the smaller and rarer HUM 11 2/0 version. This one has the slightly raised painted buttons which feel raised to the touch, whereas most show only a painted circle on the flat surface.
