VTG Goebel Hummel Signs of Spring Girl with One Shoe Bird Fence Triple Bee Stamps Very Rare 203 1940s. According to the Robert L. Miller price guide 10th Edition, “When first modeled in 1948 by master sculptor Arthur Moeller this figurine was pro duced in one size only with the incised number 203″. There are minor scuffs mostly on her skirt (see last two photos) otherwise in great preowned condition.

ONLY ONE FIGURINE IS FOR SALE IN THIS LISTING – THE 2 WAHL SIGNS OF SPRING ONLY- NOTHING ELSE PICTURED IS INCLUDED. The other Signs of Spring figurines are shown for comparison only and are NOT included in the sale. There is no original box for this figurine. This 2 Wahl Signs of Spring figurine has no crazing or repairs that I can see. It does have some small chips / paint flakes on the fence which I assume is why it was classified as 2 Wahl – Factory Second for sale to Goebel Factory Workers Only. Please read the page from Robert L. Miller’s Hummel Guide in the 2nd photograph about this extremely rare, ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND, 2 Wahl designated figurine. Please study all photographs as they are part of the description and show the paint flakes / chips on the fence. This figurine also appears to be painted differently from the standard Signs of Spring figurines. We have several 203’s and this has unique painting compared to the others I own and have seen. The colors are deeper and the fence actually looks like real wood. I have posted photos of this 2 Wahl Signs of Spring figurine with some other Signs of Spring figurines from our collection so you can see the difference in the painting of the fence and bird. Compare the fence and bird to the other figurines. THE OTHER SIGNS OF SPRING FIGURINES ARE NOT INCLUDED. YOU ONLY RECEIVE THE 2 WAHL DESIGNATED SIGNS OF SPRING FIGURINE. The 2 Wahl figurine has a fence that is very realistic compared to the others. It has a deeper brown coloring and the wood grain is detailed. Unlike the others, this fence actually looks like real wood. Figurines with the 2 Wahl designation have either damage and / or painting errors. I personally feel that this has both. I think that the difference in the fence painting and bird was deliberate to try to recreate an actual wood look and that this is possibly some type of painting sample as well. This Signs of Spring 2 shoes figurine is in excellent condition. It is the rare version with the girl wearing two shoes and both of her feet are on the ground. In the regular production version she is wearing only one shoe and one foot is raised above the ground. This figurine has no chips, crazing, cracks, damage, or repairs that I can see.
