This is a vintage Goebel Hummel figurine called Heavenly Protection. Heavenly Protection is HUM 88/II with a TMK 6 backstamp. It also bears the artist’s initials (believed to be Heidi Hertel) marked’86. It was sculpted by master sculptor Reinhold Unger in 1938. The large size (HUM 88/II) is hard to find in this condition and was retired in 1999. Heavenly Protection measures 9.25 inches tall and 4 inches wide. This figurine features a guardian angel with outstretched arms, sheltering a young boy and girl beneath her protective wings. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. This is a classic, very large Hummel figurine called School Boys. It is from 1961 and is in very good condition with no cracks and no chips. The colors are still beautiful and the boys’ faces are sweet. This Hummel is from the estate of a lifelong Hummel lover and Collector. The piece measures 7 1/2 inches tall and 6 inches wide and makes quite a presence. Please see all of the photographs. Enjoy and thank you for taking a look.
