This is a vintage Goebel Hummel figurine called Heavenly Protection. Heavenly Protection is HUM 88/II with a TMK 6 backstamp. It also bears the artist’s initials (believed to be Heidi Hertel) marked’86. It was sculpted by master sculptor Reinhold Unger in 1938. The large size (HUM 88/II) is hard to find in this condition and was retired in 1999. Heavenly Protection measures 9.25 inches tall and 4 inches wide. This figurine features a guardian angel with outstretched arms, sheltering a young boy and girl beneath her protective wings. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. This is where I keep all info relating to the product, such as condition and listed damages. Does this item include its original tags? Is this item damaged? This item looks to be previously damaged but repaired, I had refrained from trying to repair it further as to prevent more damage but have cleaned the figure. Is this item missing any parts? This RARE Maria Innocentia Hummel 1st edition plate 1971 measures 7 1/2 inches, is made of porcelain and hand painted. It is titled “Heavenly Angel”. It was issued in commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of Goebel. It is Hum # 264. The plate has the triple line bee above the V stamp. Collectors will know the significance. This plate is in excellent condition. Comes with a box but not the original.
