Vintage GOEBEL Hummel Hansel and Gretel Jointed Dolls West Germany 11 1/2, Rare! Pre-owned in excellent like new condition. Kept as decor only. No rips, thread damage, stains, wrinkles, wicker wear, color loss, scratches, or damage of any kind to dolls. Original plastic protective sleeves show shelf wear and one missing top cover. All decorative components (Goebel hangtag, wicker basket, faux flowers, green feathered cap, and slippers) are in perfect condition. No repairs or modifications. Very fine example of a Hummel collectible.

Antique 1938 GOEBEL HUMMEL Figurine “Surprise” 94 3/0 by Master sculptors Arthur Möller Reinhold 4.25. I inherited this figurine from my grandmother. The colors and details are wonderful ttwo German children on a stroll in the countryside. A girl with a red white and blue dress wearing pigtails, carrying a basket. A boy with a feather in his hat, a handkerchief around his neck, with suspenders and his hand in his pocket. Located on the underside of the base. Incised is 94 3/0 which is the Factory Control Number. A black (unidentifiable mark) m/8. Please refer to pictures. Height – 4.25. In 1938 Hummel figurines like this were named “Surprise”. They were created by. Master sculptors Arthur Möller Reinhold Unger. The old names of this hummel are “The Duet”, “Hansel and Gretel” and “What’s Up” in older catalogs. The newer name of this Hummel is “Surprise”. There are many specifications/variations of this Hummel. The color of the boys jacket. Suspender straps, shape of base. Size of figurine and Maker marks. Not this Hummel that’s up for sale but some have”&####128029;” Full Bee Marking (TMK-2) with “(R)” stamped in Blue and also. Stamped “Germany” in black on underside of base.
