Although this is a fairly old piece, it is in good condition. As this is a vintage item, there is some wear due to age, but. Please understand that this is the charm of vintage items. Size: 14.5 x 8.0 x 5.5 cm, 209 g (Please allow for slight variations in weight). The dolls are exported all over the world and have a devoted following. Maria Innocentia Hummel, who created the original illustrations for the dolls, was a nun at the Ziessen Abbey in Bavaria. Based on her drawings of children, the Hummel dolls were created using Goebel’s ceramic techniques. The bright and adorable expressions of the children, along with their adorable gestures and innocent expressions, are captivating to look at. Overall Excellent condition for this vintage M. Hummel Gretl / Gretel Doll Complete with Tulip flower and picking basket. Goebel Made in West Germany features a hard rubber body with some cracks on limbs. Head has a flat spot on back of head and face is slightly sunk in from age, these are known to do that. Hard to find with Mint wooden Hummel hang tag, basket and original Tulip flower intact. Please see all pictures as they are the best description. She cannot stand on her own. She measures about 10-1/2′ tall. She has been in my family and stored for about 60 years! Rare, vintage “Sessl” male doll, with wooden tag. MJ Hummel, Goebel, made in West Germany. Matching #2 on the neck and inner arms. Original clothes, hat, socks, and shoes. Lederhosen with star decoration. Snaps, clasps, buttons intact and functional. Condition consistent with age. Vinyl/rubber has hardened with age. Head is detached from the body. Chips on hair, neck. Discoloration on the forehead. One shoe is missing its heel. Lederhosen is missing a button.
