This is a vintage Goebel Hummel figurine called Heavenly Protection. Heavenly Protection is HUM 88/II with a TMK 6 backstamp. It also bears the artist’s initials (believed to be Heidi Hertel) marked’86. It was sculpted by master sculptor Reinhold Unger in 1938. The large size (HUM 88/II) is hard to find in this condition and was retired in 1999. Heavenly Protection measures 9.25 inches tall and 4 inches wide. This figurine features a guardian angel with outstretched arms, sheltering a young boy and girl beneath her protective wings. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. This is Hummel figure 88/II, Heavenly Protection. It’s 8.75 inches tall. Shows an angel watching over 2 kids. There is a sticker on the base with the name. There is some crazing on the base and inside the robe of the angel.
